• Managed to scrape together a few minutes and some interest, so started digging through the site (wow!) This was driven by an external project, but it's nice anyways :-)
• Shuffled the Mythus Links page a bit (retired a few seemingly dead sites, updated my own URL). Am taking submissions for updated URLs. Am surprised gygax.com seems to have completely gone. What's up with that?
• Fixed HardWired so that the include HTML stuff works. This makes the HardWired Prime pages usable. Watch out, I also found all my old notes for the material, and I may plug a few gaps...
• While my e-mail has not crashed, I have so much piled up that I don't have any of the e-mails sent for updates to the classified or any other part. If you sent me something, and I dropped it, please re-send to work around the lossy nature of high-latency communications. Updated own paragraph to kick-start it.

• Yes, it is possible that Mikey has been a little harried of late. No matter, he's taken a few quick minutes he didn't have in order to at least bring the logfiles up to date, more or less. That's for Mythus-L@BrownVM.Brown.edu, not the new list. I'll try to update the list information, but that's going to have to wait for more spare time than I have at the moment.
• I have a number of small changes/additions in the pipeline, but time has been sort of scarce. I'll get to them as soon as I can.

• God, this project at work has really drained me. In unrelated news, I've done practically nothing RPG-related recently, but I did manage to update the 1998 Mythus-L Logfiles through September 30.
• I also found (finally!) the notes I made on some Phaeree creature work from a while ago, which I hope to type up this week.
• Oh yeah, I noticed that my old desktop machine at the Law Library (skaro.lawlib.wm.edu) is down and gone. Took 'em long enough. Anyways, that means that any links/bookmarks pointing to that machine will NO LONGER WORK. Fix 'em.

09/21/1998

• In a vain attempt to undo brain-freeze brought about by a really screamingly insane deadline on a sudden project, I'm also making a pretty vain attempt to appear to be on top of things in the Mythus world. So, I've found a source for the MMM issues that became rather unavailable. Oh yeah, added the hoster's nascent site to the site list.
• I've also noticed the disappearance of a fellow DJer from the 'Net, and I can only hope things are going well with him and that he will pop up again sometime soon. Scott Payne, contact me when you return, so we can keep your Mythus material from being lost to the community (not to mention I'd like to hear from you!)

• Updated the 1998 Mythus-L logfiles through Sept. 10 (it's the last date in log9809b).
• Apparently, TSR is no longer hosting the Mythic Masters Magazine issues it has so kindly provided for so long. I have already e-mailed the webmaster, but you can too. The address is (naturally) webmaster@tsrinc.com. If you do so, PLEASE be polite. A bunch of "YOU SUX YOU TOOK DOWN MMM" messages will not help us get them restored.

• Nothing major, just made a "real" index for two links, the Logo Gallery (which seriously needs an update), and the Other Pantheon castings page. The latter is rather anemic, I'll admit.
• Some very minor adjustments to the Pantheon Castings main page, to clean up some old cruft and stuff (like no link to the Kelltic index at the top).
• Just wanted to share this, too. I periodically get e-mail from people requesting more information about mythology (probably because of the real-world names in the pantheon castings area), which is somewhat expected since non-gamers would be confused by this site. But I also get directed-marketing crap too, since my e-mail address is on the pages, and weird conjunctions of search terms have resulted in e-mail such as this one:

  Boy, that's funny :-) I think it's because of the summon chewing gum casting. I can see where someone who does the search but does not read the page would think one buys grades of chewing gum. The tools are not as good as the spammers think they are :-) )

• Despite the fact that no one remarked at all upon the pure silliness in my previous updates, I still tinkered with stuff. In particular, I have added Trigger All Triggers to the Dweomercræft page, inspired by a recent recurrence of the age-old debate on the much-maligned Trigger Effect casting.
• Fixed the 1997 and 1998 DOS-text archives to actually be DOS text (CR/LF) instead of Unix (LF).
• Unveiled a long-left-alone dusty old project (which was to have been a Phaeree Bestiary long before it was known that even the notes survived), which anyone else can feel free to make nicer: Mike's Really Cheesy Index of Phaeree Critters, mostly courtesy of the Mythic Masters Magazine archives and Dave Newton's kind permission. I think the only cool thing about it is the index of the creatures in one place :-)

• This just in: the world is coming to an end. You see, I updated some pages a little... (Hey, if you can't poke fun at yourself, who can you poke it at?)
• Added Clinton Folger's HP sheets to the programs page (I really ought to find a new title for that page). Said templates look pretty slick, and they were announced on that Great Repository of Mythus Knowledge, Mythus-L.
• Updated the 1998 logfiles to include all Mythus-L postings through July 31, 1998.
• Oh yeah, and fixed:
  1. Y2K problems with the What's New page (silly)
  2. Mistaken 1997 dates during 1998 (not silly)
• (Finally) updated the Pantheolon page to reflect the new maintainer, Alex Nuta.
• Minor fixes & additions that I don't remember, which have sort of accumulated as time went on (such as improved cross-linking, updated information, typo/broken link fixes).

03/23/1998

• A mild correction (well, pretty significant, actually) to the TSR Lawsuit Notes. I have been corrected by a little bird I have reason to trust that the lawsuit was focused exclusively around the copyright infringement and had nothing to do with any sort of question of when the material was developed.
