INSTALLATION

Extract the contents of Chzo-Mythos-Linux.tar.gz into its own directory, such as "/home/user/Chzo" for example. Inside you will find directories for each indiviudal game. Run the ags-setup utility for each game to customize the resolution and configure your sound card, and then run the game executable.

If you encounter any problems, please see the Troubleshooting section of this file.

STORY

5 Days A Stranger:
A cat burglar breaks into a supposedly deserted country mansion, only to find himself imprisoned along with four strangers by a mysterious force. A nice nasty horror game with some murders and gore.

7 Days A Skeptic:
The sequel to 5 Days A Stranger. Four hundred years into the future, the scoutship Mephistopheles and its crew of six discovers something it should have left alone.

Trilby's Notes:
Master thief turned paranormal investigator Trilby follows the trail of John DeFoe's soul idol to a small hotel in Wales, where he discovers the dark history of the cursed wood.

6 Days A Sacrifice:
Council inspector Theodore Dacabe is sent to investigate the headquarters of a fad religion and finds himself embroiled in the machinations of destiny.

Trilby: The Art of Theft:
The eccentric British cat burglar Trilby is at large in an American city, robbing the rich to give to himself, but will his arrogance cause him to bite off more than he can chew?

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The games were packaged with the Adventure Game Studio 2.72 RC2 Linux Runtime Environment, and uses the following libraries:

gcc >= 4.1
glibc >= 2.4
aldmb >= 0.9.3-5
Allegro >= 4.2
GTK = 1.2
LibXML 1

The games have been tested on Fedora 12 and Fedora 13.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Tweak your game settings using the ags-setup utility.

Try running the "AGS272" file instead of the standard executable.

If you are using Fedora and are having troubles running the game, try installing the following packages:

yum install allegro.i686 allegro-devel.i686 dumb.i686 dumb-devel.i686

Then enter the following commands into a Root terminal:

cp /usr/lib/libdumb.so /usr/lib/libdumb.so.1
cp /usr/lib/libaldmb.so /usr/lib/libaldmb.so.1

If you are using Ubuntu and are having troubles running the game, try installing the following packages:
sudo apt-get install libaldmb1 liballegro4.2 libgtk1.2 libxml1
