Q: The game segfaults when trying to use windowed mode with the Glide renderer. A: Glide doesn't support rendering in a window. Q: I am rendering in windowed mode and the mouse is grabbed in the window. A: You can press CTRL-G to change between grabbing or not. Alternatively you can change the TacticalOps.ini file Q: The game crashes and I can't switch back to my normal resolution using CTRL-ALT- +/- A: After running "xvidtune -unlock" you can change resolutions normally. Q: I installed the Glide[OpenGL] Renderer as default but now want to use the OpenGL[Glide] renderer. Q: I want to use the Software Renderer. A: Edit the following lines in either (INSTALL_PATH)/System/TacticalOps.ini or (HOME)/.TacticalOps/System/TacticalOps.ini To use the SDL OpenGL renderer: [Engine.Engine] GameRenderDevice=SDLGLDrv.SDLGLRenderDevice WindowedRenderDevice=SDLGLDrv.SDLGLRenderDevice RenderDevice=SDLGLDrv.SDLGLRenderDevice To use the Glide renderer: [Engine.Engine] GameRenderDevice=GlideDrv.GlideRenderDevice WindowedRenderDevice=GlideDrv.GlideRenderDevice RenderDevice=GlideDrv.GlideRenderDevice To use the Software renderer: [Engine.Engine] GameRenderDevice=SDLSoftDrv.SDLSoftwareRenderDevice WindowedRenderDevice=SDLSoftDrv.SDLSoftwareRenderDevice RenderDevice=SDLSoftDrv.SDLSoftwareRenderDevice Global settings are made in (INSTALL_PATH)/... and local ones in your home directory. When you first run Tactical Ops it will copy the version of TacticalOps.ini from (INSTALL_PATH)/... to your home directory and from there on only use the one in your home directory. Q: How can I specify my OpenGL library? A: You can choose the OpenGL library Tactical Ops tries to use by specifying the path to it in your TacticalOps.ini [OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice] OpenGLLibName=libGL.so.1 or OpenGLLibName=/opengl/library/path/libMYGL.so Q: My problem isn't answered here. What should I do? A: As Tactical Ops is an Unreal Tournament MOD, read the following FAQs for troubleshooting Unreal Tournament: Unreal Tournament Linux FAQ http://faqs.lokigames.com/utfaq.html Linux Gamers FAQ http://icculus.org/lgfaq/ and these web sites for Tactical Ops itself: Tactical Ops FAQ: http://www.tactical-ops.to/index.php?page=about§ion=faq Tactical Ops Forums: http://forums.tactical-ops.to/
